Clearly "Wake up little Susie" is a scathing critique of the sexual revolution

Amanda has put together a hilarious fisking of NRO's 'Top 50 conservative rock songs'. It's even funnier than the list itself, which seems to be built on a spectacular foundation of pure cognitive dissonance.

Without even looking at the list I'm going to guess that "Sweet Home Alabama" is at or near the top of the list. Such is the power of the Amazing Rando!

Over at Pandagon they've decided that they are going to help the NRO list by supplementing it with more "Conservative" songs. Since they're already many posts in, I'll just post mine here.

"Straight Outta Compton"
Obviously, this is a song about young Black men pulling themselves out of the ghetto by their own bootstraps. Do you hear them whining for a bigger welfare check? No! Furthermore, they support a broad interpretation of the 2nd Amendment and I have no doubt that their affinity for AK-47s and other assault rifles has prompted them to join the NRA. Finally, these young men have an easy going way with grammer, something that I'm sure endears them to President Bush.
