The Staff was really just a big stick…Anyway, it was capped by an elaborate headpiece with a carving of the sun at the top. What you had to do was take the Staff to a special map room in Tanis--it had the whole city laid out in miniature on the floor. When you placed the Staff in a certain spot in this room, at a certain time of day, the sun would shine through a hole here in the headpiece and then send a beam of light down here—to the map--giving you the location of the Well of the Souls...
On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be
01:02:03 04/05/06
That won't ever happen again.

Actually, it is going to happen every 100 years.
The day that I cannot wait for is June 6th: 6/6/06.
Yeah, I looked at the statement that it won't happen again a little quizzically, head cocked to the side like a spaniel. Still, it's unlikely to happen ever again, in our lifetimes.
Maybe not in your lifetime. Me, I plan on living 237 years and 87 days.
