The Staff was really just a big stick…Anyway, it was capped by an elaborate headpiece with a carving of the sun at the top. What you had to do was take the Staff to a special map room in Tanis--it had the whole city laid out in miniature on the floor. When you placed the Staff in a certain spot in this room, at a certain time of day, the sun would shine through a hole here in the headpiece and then send a beam of light down here—to the map--giving you the location of the Well of the Souls...

Well, I should say, this is my apartment BUILDING. I'm afraid mine is just one room within this hizouse.
I was going to say, that's the nicest apartment I've ever seen. Puts my rathole to shame.
Even though I am in the one room "efficiency" apartment, it is a pretty nice place and, most importantly, really really close to the train station so I can meet people and go out and stuff without being beholden to the bus schedule. Unfortunately, it costs a lot to live this free and my bills are much higher than last year. It's not like I'll ever have to pay these loans back though, right?
One room, ugh, must be kinda cramped with you and the significant other, unless of course, different school schedules mean you're never in the same room together (kind of like my life right now).
